Large Natural Edge Maple Crotch Bowl
This, and bowl W081, are book matched in that they came from either half of a large sugar maple crotch, the juncture of the tree’s main and two sub-trunks. Reverse turned to leave the bark at the edge, these bowls have a whimsical triangular shape that is rustic yet refined. Measuring approximately 12”x3.5” this bowl works either as a serving piece or for display. Its undulating sides and prominent figure are quite striking. Tung oil, lacquer, and hand rubbed wax finish.
